Podiatrist Marie Schlund, DPM
Dr. Schlund received her undergraduate education at the State University of New York in Buffalo and attended medical school at Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. After graduating in 1987, she completed two residencies at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Marion and Fort Wayne, Indianapolis and Grissom Air Force Base in Indiana.
Dr. Schlund is board certified by the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgeons and has hospital affiliations with AMITA Glen Oaks Hospital, Aiden Surgical Center, and Oak Brook Surgical Center. She has professional memberships with the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association, the AMITA Glen Oaks Hospital Health System, the American Board of Lower Extremity Surgery, the American College of Lower Extremity Surgery, the Academy of Physicians and Wound Healing, and the American Professional Wound Care Association.
Foot Doctor Alex McKanna, DPM
Dr. McKanna received his BS in biology with two minors in chemical instrumental analysis and Spanish at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL and attended medical school at Dr. William Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in Chicago, IL. After graduating in 2015, he completed a three-year residency at Franciscan Health/Midwestern University.
Dr. McKanna is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery and rearfoot and ankle reconstruction. He has a special interest in pediatric podiatry focusing on lower extremity conditions in children. He has professional memberships with the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. McKanna has hospital affiliations with Northwest Community Hospital, AMITA Glen Oaks Hospital, AMITA Bolingbrook Hospital, Aiden Surgical Center and Golf Surgical Center. He specializes in diabetic wound care and limb salvage and has been in practice since 2018.
Dr. McKanna received the Above and Beyond Award from AMITA Health Adventist Medical Center GlenOaks for outstanding performance, service, and dedication in January 2021.
Podiatrist Daniel Reed, DPM
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Reed completed his undergraduate studies at Oregon State University focusing on Athletic Training and Sports Medicine. He later moved to Arizona where he attended the Arizona School of Podiatric Medicine at Midwestern University. Dr. Reed completed his residency at Franciscan Alliance/Midwestern University in Dyer, Indiana encompassing all aspects of surgical podiatric care with an emphasis in rearfoot reconstruction, trauma, Charcot reconstruction, and limb salvage.
Dr. Reed is dedicated to helping all those with a foot or ankle condition and tailors every treatment to what is most effective and practical for a specific patient in a given situation.
When not seeing patients, Dr. Reed spends his spare time with his wife hiking, and spending time with friends and family.
